Incidents

  • Incidents are generated once a metric value exceeds its test limits.

Alerts

The red dots in the chart indicate that the metric value exceeds the current test, but Definity will not generate alerts retroactively if tests are changed.

  • Once an alert was generated the defined test action will also execute - alert only / stop the pipeline / ignore
  • As long as the metric value in following executions will be out of bounds the incident will stay open
  • Once the metric returned to its normal boundaries definity will automatically close the incident

User incident action options

  • If the alert has pointed to a real issue - once the issue is fixed go to the specific execution page and in the "Tests Results" tab actions column select the "V" action.
  • If the alert was false - go to the specific execution page and in the "Tests Results" tab actions column select the "X" action.
  • If you would like to disable such alerts in the future - in the actions column select "Disable Test"

Bulk dismiss

  • In each Pipeline/Task page you will have an actions column with bulk dismiss options
